Thailand issues no online casino licences, so the online casinos in Thailand on this list are international sites holding licences from other countries, all of them open to Thai players. Each card shows the licence, the welcome offer and the bonus terms, and every offer open to players in Thailand is collected on our page of Thailand casino bonuses.

Thai law never mentions internet play directly, but the Gambling Act of 1935 bans casino games, and online gambling is treated as illegal under it; the Government Lottery is the main legal exception. Below the list you will find the law, why casino links keep vanishing, how bonuses add up in baht, the casino bill and where to get help.

⚠️ Never Pay Into Someone Else’s Account: Casino links passed around on social media and messaging apps often go dead or redirect, because Thailand blocks gambling addresses by the hundred thousand. Log in only on the address you registered with, and never send a deposit to a person or a private bank account offered in a chat: Thai police treat accounts used to move gambling money as part of the crime.

Is Online Gambling Legal in Thailand?

No. The Gambling Act B.E. 2478 of 1935 sorts games into two lists. List A games, such as dice, roulette and slot machines, are banned unless authorised by royal decree, and anyone who takes part faces up to three years in prison, a fine of up to 5,000 baht, or both. List B games, from bingo and blackjack to racing, can be licensed case by case by senior police officers; playing them without a licence carries up to two years or 2,000 baht. Gambling on neither list carries up to one year or 1,000 baht.

The Act predates the internet and has no section on online gambling, but online casino play is treated as illegal under it. A draft amendment put out for public comment in February 2025 would have defined online gambling and banned it unless authorised, with one to three years in prison for players and seven to twelve years for organisers and promoters. It has not become law.

Why Casino Links Keep Disappearing in Thailand

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, working with the Royal Thai Police, blocked 945,075 online gambling web addresses in fiscal 2026, from October 2025 to September 2026: 835,207 by court order and 109,868 through direct cooperation with digital platforms. Online gambling was the largest category of illegal content the ministry removed, which is why a link that worked last week can stop loading.

Bank Accounts, Money Mules and Payments

Thai enforcement follows the money as closely as the websites. Bank accounts linked to large online gambling operations have been seized, and people who rent out or sell their bank accounts to gambling networks, known as money mules, can be jailed. Overseas casinos set their own payment methods, usually cards, e-wallets, bank transfers and cryptocurrency; each casino’s options appear on its card and in our online casino payments guide. Use only methods in your own name, and check the withdrawal minimum and processing time before you deposit.

What a Foreign Licence Means for Thai Players

Each listed casino answers to a gaming regulator based outside Thailand, and that licence decides the identity checks, the withdrawal rules and who handles a complaint. No Thai authority supervises these sites, so the licence printed on the card is the only safeguard; our guide to gambling licences profiles the regulators that appear most. Some casinos list Thailand as a restricted country, and an account registered from a restricted country may lose its winnings when it tries to cash out.

Bonuses in Baht

The cards show welcome offers in euros, so what a bonus amounts to in baht shifts with the exchange rate on deposit day. A 10,000 baht bonus at 35x requires 350,000 baht in bets before it can be cashed out, and live tables such as baccarat often count for a fraction of that or nothing. Some casinos accept Thai players but shut them out of promotions, so not every card shows an offer.

Will Thailand Get Legal Casinos?

Not soon. In January 2025 the government approved a draft Entertainment Complex Bill that would have allowed casinos inside large resort complexes. It met strong resistance, including street protests and polls showing majority opposition, and on 9 July 2025 the House of Representatives withdrew it; a Senate committee rejected the plan in September 2025. Anutin Charnvirakul, prime minister since September 2025 and confirmed by parliament on 19 March 2026 after the February election, has consistently opposed legal casinos and has said Thailand would have to wait for another prime minister to get them. The online gambling amendment stalled in the same period.

The Government Lottery and Paotang

The legal way to gamble in Thailand is the Government Lottery, run by the Government Lottery Office, with six-digit tickets priced at 80 baht and draws on the 1st and 16th of each month. Since 2022 tickets have also been sold digitally through the state Paotang app. The underground lottery, which takes bets on two- and three-digit numbers through agents, is illegal and gives no protection if the collector disappears.

Tax on Winnings in Thailand

Government Lottery prizes are subject to a 0.5% stamp duty when claimed. All other gambling is illegal, so for online play the issue is the law rather than tax, and money from illegal gambling can be seized. Rules in licensed markets are laid out country by country in do you pay tax on casino winnings?

Gambling Help in Thailand: Call 1323

The 1323 mental health helpline is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day, by phone or online chat, and it takes calls about gambling problems. Thailand has no gambling self-exclusion register, so at an international casino the protection sits in the account settings: deposit limits, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion, set before the first deposit. Neighbouring countries handle gambling very differently, from Malaysia’s fines for players to the Philippines’ licensed online market; see online casinos in Malaysia and online casinos in the Philippines.
